PhotoACTIVE ™
is an amorphous water-based colloidal solution that has two intrinsic properties. Makes the material to which applied photocatalytic and hyperhydrophilic. Photocatalysis is activated with exposure to daylight, odors, gases and bacteria are eliminated. The dirt, the smog, the organic particulate matter decompose, they no longer adhere to the surfaces, with water or rain the hyperhydrophic properties of Titanium make everything that had previously deposited on the material slide. Photocatalytic TiO2 is a photo-chemical product, when activated by a light radiation from 380 to 420 nm, it promotes an electron from the valence band to the conduction band creating a hole with very strong oxide reduction powers. The product has a very effective antimicrobial and antiviral action, since instead of other antibacterial agents containing Biocides or candidate products of which REGULATION (EU) no. 528/2012 OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL of 22 May 2012, does not kill bacteria or viruses, but through oxidation reduction reactions listed above, decomposes them into gaseous substances, obtaining carbon dioxide and water vapors. It is therefore not a biocidal product.
The added value of photocatalytic titanium dioxide compared to a normal PMC is that it lasts at least 2 years after application.
