The ADM-PE-EXP Masterbatch aims to lighten the molded and / or extruded pieces by reducing the density of the product. Density is the relationship between mass and volume; the higher the density, the higher the weight of the product with the same volume. The expanding agents in this case favor the lowering of the density in order to make the finished products lighter. Sectors: The ADM-PE-EXP Masterbatch is based on an endothermic and synergic expanding agent suitable for both injection molding and polyolefin films.
The percentage of use is closely linked to the performance to be achieved in addition to important variables such as: the type and quality of the polymer, MFI, the presence of additives and / or various fillers, thickness, etc. Given the multitude of factors beyond our control that can adversely affect the process and affect the performance of the additive, it is considered necessary that the user carries out tests on the final article to verify that the product complies with the application for which it is intended. Dosage: From 1.5% to 3%.
The dosage depends on various factors such as thickness of the product, climatic conditions and expected duration.
It is a pellet containing 25% of very high molecular weight siloxane polymer dispersed in low density polyethylene (LDPE). It is widely used as an efficient additive for PE compatible resin systems to improve processing properties and surface quality, such as better resin flow capacity, lower extruder torque, reduced extrusion burr, lower friction coefficient, filling and release of molds, greater resistance to abrasion and scratches. It increases productivity by reducing the percentage of product defects and replacing lubricants. dosage: - PE film: From 2.0% to 3.0% of MB with the addition of about 1.000 ppm of natural silica to obtain a
COF of 0.2;
-Injection molding: 0.5% MB as release agent;
- Extrusion: 1.0% MB as process aid.
